We are looking for a Mechanical Integrity Engineer for a consulting assignment in the energy sector located in Finspång. In this role, you will be part of a specialized team working on mechanical integrity related to turbine development. The assignment offers a technically advanced environment where you can contribute to development projects focusing on strength and lifespan assessment of critical components. You will work closely with several technical disciplines and have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in structural analysis and finite element methods.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Mechanical Integrity Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the strength and lifespan of turbine components within ongoing development projects. You will conduct stress and lifespan analyses using finite element methods (FEA) and other numerical models, as well as perform structural analyses and assessments of component lifespan behavior. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze necessary data for calculations and technical assessments. You will also contribute to method development and quality assurance within the field of mechanical integrity and be involved in further developing work processes and analysis methods.
QualificationsMandatory requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
2–5 years of experience in structural analysis
Good understanding of theories and methods in strength of materials and analysis
Experience with finite element analyses (FEA)
Practical experience with tools such as ABAQUS, HyperWorks, and NASGRO
Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
Good collaboration skills and a willingness to learn and develop
Location: Finspång
Work model: Hybrid – primarily on-site with some remote work opportunities
Assignment period: 12 months with the possibility of extension by agreement
Start: Immediately
